A little excitement!

After 11 months of waiting, I received word today - I am going to be a published author! My essay on the Power of Individuality in mothering was selected to be included in an upcoming book. I wrote and submitted the nearly a year ago, and had all but forgotten about it. Needless to say, I'm so excited! No, this isn't a paying gig, but I will get copies of the book. And really, seeing my name in print will just be so cool. I don't have any further information yet (like the release date - but it seems to me that the publishing world can often run slower than ones nerves can take!), but I'll will update when I hear more.
